. . . a pretty nice place to visit, so long as you follow Sheriff Lucas Buck's lead. If you don't, well, keep in mind that Trinity has been referred to as the Bermuda Triangle of Tourism.

Trinity, South Carolina, is the fictional hometown of American Gothic, the terrific television show from Renaissance Pictures, that was irregularly shown on CBS in the 1995-96 season.

BIG NEWS!!!! American Gothic is finally coming out on DVD--the ENTIRE series, including the episodes CBS never aired!!! We've waited 10 years for this. Order it now at Amazon!!!! (They have a great deal on it.)

It may surprise you, but Trinity was born in the mind of actor/singer/writer Shaun Cassidy!
 

But all is not well in Trinity.

Sadly, our beloved town is now just a memory.

Why? Because of the programming department at CBS. After moving the episodes they chose to show over four different nights, with two lengthy hiatuses, and neglecting to advertise the show sufficiently on its own network or in publications such as TV Guide, CBS put American Gothic on "indefinite hiatus." However, the Trinity Chamber of Commerce didn't let our town disappear without a fight. The show's fans were among the first to buy an ad in trade publications, and there were copious letter-writing campaigns and petitions. It didn't bring the show back, but AG will live on through their work.


Virtual Trinity is dedicated to the memory of "Buck's Babe," a medical student and AG fan who died in a car accident at the age of 24. We'll miss you, Libby.
